Hank Symes is a brilliant scientist, but he is also known to be obsessed. In his world, the Earth's ozone layer has been completely destroyed, and it is hard to think of living there. In order to try and save the world, Hank gathers the materials for an experiment that he hopes might save his world. However during his experiment, something goes terrible awry, and Hank is transformed in a another life form, and his entire house becomes one huge living entity that threatens anyone who attempts to enter it.
