Watch Haathi Mere Saathi

Haati Mere Saathi is a children's movie in which no special effects were allowed to intrude with the animals. The movie revolves around four very well trained elephants. The drama begins with the story of an orphan named Raju (Rajesh Khanna) who is believed to have survived from the death trap of leopards. He is saved by a herd of four elephants and he grew a strong bond towards them. In order to survive the worst pangs of poverty, Raju performed in the street corners with the elephants to gather pennies for his livelihood. Ramu is his closest elephant buddy.

Raju began "Pyar ki Duniya" a zoo where different kinds of animals were given shelter. He had a strong passion for animals. With the passage of time, he accumulated wealth and designed his own private zoo, which was his dream come true. He was a die hard lover of animals and his zoo housed bears, elephants, tigers, leopards. Raju was very contented with his life when he met with Tanu, fell in love and finally married her.

Tanu was the daughter of a very rich man who was not at all happy with his daughter's decision of marriage. Their relationship was jolted after a few months of their wedding when Tanu began feeling insecure as Raju began spending a large part of his time with his elephants. She felt ignored and dejected. Things became much more complicated after the birth of their son. Tanu thought that her son was not safe in the environment of the elephants. She finally asked Raju to choose between family and his animal friends. Raju was brutally challenged and his love for the animals won the battle. He chose to stay with his animal buddies. Ramu, his closest animal buddy understood the intricate human emotions and decided to unite the couple. The elephant Ramu mastered this part of the movie.
