The movie was directed by Rohit Shetty and features a star-studded cast of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, and Sharman Joshi. The story revolves around four friends who find themselves in a hilarious and chaotic situation after they try to get a job. Gopal (Ajay Devgn) is a young man who is desperate for a job. He meets Laxman (Shreyas Talpade), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), and Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor) and decides to join them in their quest for employment. The group creates fake identities to work at a beach resort owned by a wealthy businessman, Khushi (Kareena Kapoor). They hope to earn enough money to pay for their living expenses.
The fun begins when the foursome tries to keep their true identities hidden from each other, leading to confusion and conflicts. To make things worse, Khushi's father, Jamnadas (Dalip Tahil), arrives at the resort to catch his daughter's boyfriend, who he believes is working there.
As the situation becomes more complicated, Golmaal takes the audience on a wild ride of slapstick comedy and ridiculous situations. The humor in the movie is largely physical, relying on the actors' facial expressions and body language to deliver laughs. The supporting cast, including Sharman Joshi and Vrajesh Hirjee, also contribute to the hilarity.
Golmaal received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The film's catchy soundtrack, composed by Vishal-Shekhar, also contributed to its success. The movie became one of the highest-grossing films of the year and spawned several sequels.
Overall, Golmaal is a highly entertaining comedy that delivers plenty of laughs. Its star-studded cast and hilarious antics make it a classic Bollywood film that has stood the test of time. If you're in the mood for a lighthearted comedy, Golmaal is a great choice.
