Golmaal is a 2006 Bollywood comedy film, directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Dhillin Mehta. The movie features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Rimi Sen, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. Golmaal is the story of four friends, Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), and Laxman (Sharman Joshi), who are bound by one common goal - to mint money by hook or by crook. The plot of the movie revolves around their mundane lives and their hilarious attempts to escape boredom by indulging in various shenanigans.

The movie begins with Gopal and Laxman getting fired from their jobs for their mischievous behavior. Unwilling to be unemployed, they decide to pose as deaf and dumb individuals and get jobs in Prabhakar's (Paresh Rawal) house as caretakers. Here, they meet Madhav and Lucky, who are already employed. Prabhakar is a busy man, who is frustrated with his life, and is desperate for a break.

The four friends, who are aware of Prabhakar's situation, begin to play pranks on him to make him laugh and forget his misery. Initially annoyed with their mischief, Prabhakar soon realizes that the four boys are his ticket to happiness. As a result, he decides to reward them with a luxurious lifestyle if they manage to make him laugh by the end of the day.

As the story unfolds, we get to see the rag-tag group struggle to keep their covers as deaf and dumb people. This leads to many hilarious situations, including a mix-up of Prabhakar's medicines and some confusion over the milk bottle.

The narrative takes a turn when Gopal's childhood friend, Laxman's boss, and Prabhakar's estranged son, brings in a lawyer to drive the boys out by proving that they are not deaf and dumb. This leads to some comical courtroom drama, eventually culminating in an unexpected ending.

What makes Golmaal a big success is the chemistry between the lead actors. Each of the four actors gives a fantastic performance, effortlessly slipping into their respective roles of the goofy prankster (Arshad Warsi), the dim-witted Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), the good-natured Laxman (Sharman Joshi), and the cunning Gopal (Ajay Devgn).

The music of the film was composed by Vishal-Shekhar, featuring delightful songs like "Aage Peeche," "Apna Har Din," and "Golmaal." The soundtrack enhances the overall mood and rhythm of the movie, contributing to its undeniable entertainment value.

Overall, Golmaal is an enjoyable watch for anyone who loves a good comedy. The film's hilarious antics, humorous dialogues, and top-notch performances make it a must-watch for anyone looking for a lighthearted break from the monotony of life.
