Gigantic is a quirky, offbeat romantic comedy that was released in 2008. It stars Paul Dano as Brian, a mattress salesman who is struggling to find his place in the world. Zooey Deschanel plays Happy, an eccentric and impulsive artist who catches Brian's eye. The movie is set in New York City, and much of the action takes place in Brian's cramped apartment. Brian is a lonely, introspective person who is trying to figure out what he wants out of life. He spends much of his time dreaming about adopting a Chinese baby, even though he's not quite sure he's ready for the responsibility.

One day, Happy walks into the mattress store where Brian works, and the two immediately hit it off. Happy is an artist who creates strange and slightly disturbing sculptures out of household objects, and she's not exactly what you would call a conventional match for Brian. Nevertheless, the two are drawn to each other, and they begin a tentative romance.

But their relationship is complicated by a number of factors. For one thing, Happy is constantly on the move, disappearing for days at a time to pursue her art or attend weird industry events. For another, Brian's overbearing father, played by John Goodman, keeps popping up to offer unwanted advice and criticize Brian's life choices.

As Brian struggles to navigate these obstacles, he begins to realize that he has some growing up to do. He needs to learn to take responsibility for his own life and stop relying on other people – whether it's his father or Happy – to make decisions for him. Along the way, he discovers some unexpected truths about himself and his place in the world.

Gigantic is a quirky and funny movie that will appeal to fans of offbeat romantic comedies. It's not your typical boy-meets-girl story – in fact, it's not really about romance at all. Rather, it's about two people who are trying to figure out who they are and what they want out of life. The movie is full of strange and memorable moments, from Happy's bizarre sculptures to Brian's ill-conceived attempt to learn Chinese.

Paul Dano is excellent as Brian, bringing a sense of vulnerability and awkwardness to the role. Zooey Deschanel is equally good as Happy, playing her as a free-spirited artist who's always one step ahead of everyone else. John Goodman provides some comic relief as Brian's overbearing father, and there are a number of other memorable supporting characters, including Happy's kooky friend and Brian's weird coworkers at the mattress store.

Overall, Gigantic is a charming and funny movie that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. It's not for everyone – if you're looking for a conventional romantic comedy, this probably isn't the movie for you. But if you're in the mood for something a little bit offbeat and unexpected, this movie delivers in spades.

Gigantic is a 2008 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 38 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.0 and a MetaScore of 38.
