The supernatural, comedy and drama are compiled together to produce Ghost Town, a movie staring comedian Ricky Gervais who plays a dentist who can see ghosts. The story begins when a New York City business man is accidentally killed while attempting to buy an apartment for his mistress. Following the tragedy dentist Bertram (Gervais), who holds disdainful view of others, has a near death experience during a colonoscopy.

After awakening from the dreadful grasp of anesthesia he realizes he can see and communicate with ghosts. Given Bertram's personality, this is just another major annoyance. Recently deceased business man Frank agrees to keep the pestering ghosts at bay if Bertram agrees to break up his widows new engagement to Richard, a human-rights lawyer.

Bertram's past rudeness and lack of a personality and people skills make this a challenge, and the outcome is beyond what either Bertram or Frank expected.

Ghost Town is a 2008 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 42 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.7 and a MetaScore of 72.
