Watch Ghost in the Shell

In the year 2029, the world is interconnected by a broad electronic network that infiltrates every aspect of life. Most humans have access to this network through their cybernetic bodies, which they also call shells. These shells also possess their consciousness and can give humans superhuman abilities. Major Motoko Kusanagi is an assault-team leader for the New Port City. She is assigned to capture the Puppet Master who is a dangerous hacker. Her team members, Batou and Ishikawa, use triangulation to try and find the Puppet Master. They arrest a garbageman who thinks he is using a program obtained from a man to illegally "ghost-hack" his wife's mind in order to find his daughter. Kusanagi and her team arrest him and the man who gave him the program, but discover that they are ghost hacked by the Puppet master and their memories were either erased or implanted.

Ghost in the Shell is a 1995 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 22 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.9 and a MetaScore of 76.
