Getaway is a high-octane action-thriller movie released in 2013 that stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez, and Jon Voight. The movie is directed by Courtney Solomon and follows the story of an ex-race driver Brent Magna (played by Ethan Hawke) who gets dragged into a dangerous game of life and death when his wife is kidnapped in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The movie starts with Brent Magna receiving a call from an unknown person who demands that he steal a specially modified Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake and follow instructions given to him via the car's speaker system. If he refuses to follow the instructions or reaches the destination ahead of time, his wife will be executed.

Desperate to get his wife back, Brent jumps into the car and starts following the instructions. Soon he realizes that he is not alone in this crazy game; a teenage girl, known only as "The Kid," is also in his car. Initially, Brent does not trust her and demands that she gets out of the car, but as the game goes on, he realizes that she may be his only hope of solving the mystery behind this insane game.

The Kid, played by Selena Gomez, turns out to be a computer hacker who has been watching the game from outside and is convinced that there is more to it than what Brent is being told. With her help, Brent sets out on a wild chase across Bulgaria, smashing into police cars, narrowly avoiding accidents and engaging in high-speed pursuits along the way.

Jon Voight plays the role of The Voice, the mysterious figure behind this dangerous game. He is ruthless, egotistical, and extremely wealthy. As Brent and The Kid race against time, they start to uncover clues that lead them closer to The Voice's lair.

Getaway is a movie that is all about action, adrenaline and high-speed pursuits. The pace never slows down, and the tension starts to build from the moment Brent gets behind the wheel of the Shelby GT500 Super Snake. The car chases are breathtaking, and the practical effects used to recreate them are top-notch.

The chemistry between Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez is surprisingly good, considering the age difference between the two actors. Gomez shows that she can hold her own in a movie with a male lead and adds a nice touch of humor and intelligence to her character, The Kid. Jon Voight steals the show with his portrayal of The Voice. He is creepy, menacing, and unpredictable, and you never know what he is going to do next.

The soundtrack of the movie is also worth mentioning. The pulsating electronic music adds to the tension and excitement of the chase scenes and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

In conclusion, Getaway is a movie that is perfect for fans of high-speed car chases, action-thrillers, and fast-paced entertainment. The plot may not be the most original, and the characters may be a little one-dimensional, but the movie compensates for its shortcomings with its breathtaking car chases, impressive practical effects, and intense pacing. If you are looking for a movie that will get your heart racing and your adrenaline pumping, then Getaway is definitely worth your time.
