The movie Gemini is based in Tokyo in the early 1900's. Dr. Daitokuji Yukio, treats patients who suffer from the plague. Dr. Yukio was once a military doctor but has now taken his father's practice. His life is great, as he is still a young doctor with a thriving medical practice and his beautiful wife Rin. However, Daitokuji does have a problem in his seemingly perfect life; His wife Rin knows nothing of her own past, as she suffers from amnesia.

Things don't stay perfect for Dr. Yukio though. His parents are both murdered by an anonymous doppelganger of Daitokuji. His wife loses respect for him when he makes the choice to treat the mayor rather than sickly people living in poverty.
