In 1970s Seoul, two young drifters named Jong-dae and Yong-ki find themselves thrown into the underground world of gangsters and political corruption. As they navigate their way through this dangerous world, they must make tough decisions and fight for survival. Jong-dae (played by Lee Min-ho) is a tough street kid who grew up in poverty, while Yong-ki (played by Rae-won Kim) is a smart and ambitious young man. The two become friends and partners in crime, running petty scams and doing odd jobs for a local gangster named Kang Gil-soo.

But when a new gangster named Lee Joong-gu arrives on the scene, things start to get more complicated. Joong-gu is a powerful and ruthless figure, who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He quickly takes over Kang's territory, and soon has his sights set on the entire city.

Jong-dae and Yong-ki find themselves caught in the middle of this gang war, forced to choose sides and fight for their lives. Along the way, they also encounter a beautiful young woman named Kim Hye-soo (played by newcomer Nana), who becomes a source of both inspiration and danger.

As the violence and corruption escalate, Jong-dae and Yong-ki realize that they must try to find a way out of this world, before it destroys them both. But getting out may be harder than they ever imagined.

Gangnam Blues is a gripping crime drama with strong performances from its talented cast. Lee Min-ho shines in the lead role, showing a darker and more complex side to his acting abilities. Rae-won Kim is also excellent as his partner in crime, while Jin-young Jung adds a touch of humor and sweetness as one of their allies.

The film is set against the backdrop of a rapidly developing Seoul in the 1970s, with all its neon-lit clubs, glitzy hotels, and seedy alleyways. The production design and costumes are top-notch, capturing the era with authenticity and flair.

Director Yoo Ha brings a stylish and visceral approach to the material, with intense action sequences and moments of shocking violence. But he also balances this with quieter scenes of character development and emotional depth.

Overall, Gangnam Blues is a thrilling and engrossing film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. With its strong performances, stunning visuals, and gripping storyline, it is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas and Korean cinema.

Gangnam Blues is a 2015 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2.
