Ganga Ki Saugandh is a 1978 Indian action film directed by Sultan Ahmed and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, and Amjad Khan. The movie centers around Thakur Jaswant Singh, an honest man who lives in a village called Daulatpur. One day, a group of bandits led by a dacoit named Hukam Singh enter the village and kidnap women and children to use as hostages in order to gain control over the village.
Thakur Jaswant Singh tries to negotiate with Hukam Singh and his gang, but they respond with violence and brutality, killing many villagers and causing chaos in the peaceful village. Thakur Jaswant Singh then goes to the city to seek help from the government, but he is met with corruption and indifference from the bureaucrats and politicians.
Frustrated by the lack of help, Thakur Jaswant Singh decides to take matters into his own hands and joins forces with a young woman named Ganga, played by Rekha, who is searching for her lost husband. Together, they set out to rescue the kidnapped women and children and take down the bandits and their leader Hukam Singh.
As they venture deeper into the bandit's territory, they encounter many obstacles and challenges, including a fierce battle with Hukam Singh and his gang. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Jeeva, a local thief who becomes a part of Thakur Jaswant Singh and Ganga's mission.
The movie is known for its intense action sequences and powerful performances by the cast. Amitabh Bachchan delivers a compelling performance as the rough and tough Jeeva, while Rekha shines as the feisty and determined Ganga. Amjad Khan, who is best known for his role as Gabbar Singh in the classic Bollywood movie Sholay, plays the role of the menacing Hukam Singh with great conviction and skill.
Ganga Ki Saugandh also tackles important social issues, such as corruption and the oppression of women in rural areas. The movie sheds light on the struggles of ordinary people who are caught in the crossfire of corrupt politicians, ruthless bandits, and a flawed justice system.
Overall, Ganga Ki Saugandh is a gripping and action-packed movie that is a must-watch for fans of Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, and Amjad Khan.
