Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby is a demented retelling of the story of Hansel and Gretel set in a background of late 1990s squalor and social degradation. It is not a sequel in any relevant sense of the term. Although Freeway II is difficult to watch by most standards, the film is ruthlessly honest and surprisingly fun. Natasha Lyonne's character "White Girl" anchors the film against the self-destructive mania of María Celedonio's "Cyclona." The two characters go on a grim and candy-colored journey into their own twisted past, and the answers that they find are every bit as surprising as they are upsetting.
Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby is a 1999 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.4.
