Freaked is a 1993 American science-fiction comedy film directed by Tom Stern and Alex Winter. The movie features Brooke Shields, William Sadler, and Eduardo Ricard in the leading roles. The story revolves around Ricky Coogin (Alex Winter), a former child star who, along with two of his friends, gets hired by a chemical company to be the spokesmen for a new product. They are flown to South America to promote the product, where they find themselves in a bizarre and dangerous situation.

The trio comes across a freak show run by a mad scientist named Elijah C. Skuggs (Randy Quaid). Skuggs has been using chemicals to mutate human beings into freaks and is planning to do the same to the visitors of the freak show. Ricky and his friends become targets of Skuggs, and they realize they are in grave danger.

As Ricky and his friends try to escape, they meet and team up with a group of freaks, including a half-man, half-cow, a bearded lady, a worm man, and a human-chicken hybrid. Together, they plan to stop Skuggs from carrying out his evil plans.

The movie's plot is full of twists and turns, and the humor is often over-the-top and bizarre. It incorporates a lot of physical comedy and some gross-out humor while delivering its message about the dangers of corporate greed and exploitation.

The special effects used in Freaked are impressive and add to the movie's overall charm. The creature designs are creative and imaginative, and the makeup and prosthetics used to create the freaks are top-notch. The film's soundtrack is also worth mentioning, as it adds to the overall experience of the movie.

Brooke Shields plays a small but significant role in the movie as Skuggs' assistant, who becomes a love interest for Ricky. Shields brings a level of star power to the film, and her comedic timing is excellent.

William Sadler plays a henchman for Skuggs, and his performance is fantastic. He portrays his character with menace and comedy, creating a well-rounded villain. Eduardo Ricard plays Ortiz the Dog Boy, one of the freaks who joins forces with Ricky and his friends. Ricard's performance is delightful, and he plays his character with heart and humor.

Freaked is not a movie for everyone. It is a weird, wacky, and original film that blends horror, comedy, and science fiction in a unique way. The film's tone and humor might not resonate with everyone, but those who enjoy oddball movies will find plenty to love in Freaked.

Overall, Freaked is a fun movie that is worth checking out for those who are looking for something different from the usual mainstream fare. It is a cult classic that has stood the test of time and continues to entertain audiences with its sheer weirdness and creativity.
