For We Are Many is a horror anthology movie released in 2019. Directed by Lawrie Brewster and written by Sarah Daly, the film tells a collection of interconnected stories that show the audience the demons that possess people's souls. The film opens with a traditional demon summoning ritual, which sets the tone for the movie. Different stories take place in different locations and time periods, but they are bound by the common theme of demonic possession. The stories are not necessarily in chronological order, creating a sense that they could occur at any time.

The first story is set during the 16th century, where a group of nuns summon a demon to stop the Spanish Inquisition from attacking their convent. The demon is successful in its mission, but at a severe price. The demon possesses one of the nuns and her soul is lost to the demon forever. The scene's production design and costumes successfully transport us to the time period, successfully immersing us into the world.

The second story is set in modern times and follows a man who is possessed by a demon. The demon first introduces itself as a benign force to help the man improve his life, but eventually takes over his mind and body. The man is left powerless and the demon is free to cause chaos in the world in his name. Eileen Dietz delivers a great performance as the demon possessing the man.

In the third story, set during the early 20th century, an inventor creates a machine that can open a portal to another dimension. The inventor's motivations are not entirely clear, but soon enough, he unleashes a demon, who causes havoc in his laboratory. This segment's visual effects are impressive, as well as the cinematography, offering a sense of awe and wonder in the audience.

The fourth story is set during the present day, following a group of people who attempt to capture death itself. However, instead of death, they end up unleashing a horde of demons onto the world. The group then must fight to survive, all while being pursued by the horde of demons. The fight choreography and camera work in this story are both brilliant, leading to one of the most thrilling segments of the anthology film.

The fifth story is set in a futuristic society where the wealthy can transfer their consciousness into artificial bodies, allowing them virtual immortality. However, this progress comes at a cost - the new bodies turn out to be susceptible to possession by demons. This story explores both the ethical implications of such technology, and more traditional horror themes of demonic possession.

The final story is set centuries in the future, where a group of space travelers discover a strange artefact on a seemingly deserted planet. Upon investigating the artefact, they discover it is guarded by a group of demons who aim to possess their bodies. This story effectively mixes sci-fi with horror and serves as an exciting finale to an excellent anthology.

Overall, For We Are Many is a successful anthology horror movie that manages to successfully interweave different stories through its common theme of demonic possession. The movie's tone and atmosphere is perfectly captured through careful casting, production design, and direction. Whether individually or collectively, the six stories succeed on a scary and emotional level, with each part displaying its own unique style and personality. The anthology format offers something for all horror fans, and the demons and possession themes throughout make for a gruesome, yet engrossing, watching experience.

For We Are Many is a 2020 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 20 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.9.
