Fist of the Warrior is a 2007 action-drama film directed by Wayne Kennedy and starring Ho-Sung Pak, Peter Greene, and Roger Guenveur Smith. The movie tells the story of Lee Choe (Ho-Sung Pak), an ex-boxer who becomes a hired killer after the murder of his wife, who was killed in a car explosion by a local gang boss. The movie opens with Lee Choe, who now lives in Bangkok, Thailand, working as a debt collector for a local gangster. Despite his dangerous occupation, Lee has been able to avoid raising his fists against anyone, keeping his violent past hidden. However, he is soon recruited by the same gangster to carry out a hit against one of the most powerful men in the city, a wealthy businessman with political ambitions named John Lowe (played by Roger Guenveur Smith).

Lee initially refuses the offer, but after some serious contemplation, he decides to accept the job, not for the money, but to seek revenge against the gang leader who killed his wife. As Lee dives deeper into his mission, he discovers that his target is not just any ordinary businessman, but someone with a deep past in the illegal underground fighting scene, who possesses his own form of martial arts. Lee realizes that he must not only take down a dangerous and skilled adversary but also confront his own past and rediscover his passion for the sport of boxing, which he abandoned after his wife's death.

As Lee gets closer to his target, he is relentlessly pursued by Detective Nita Morales (played by Robin Paul), a tough and determined cop who is convinced that Lee is responsible for a series of murders in the city. With the help of his friend and mentor, a local bar owner named Jim (played by Peter Greene), Lee must find a way to outsmart the detective and the gang leader, while at the same time not losing sight of his ultimate goal - revenge.

Fist of the Warrior is a fast-paced and action-packed movie that delivers a compelling story of redemption, vengeance, and the complex world of underground fighting. The film features some excellent fight scenes, choreographed by Ho-Sung Pak himself, who is a renowned martial arts expert. Peter Greene and Roger Guenveur Smith turn in solid performances as well, bringing depth and nuance to their roles as Lee's mentor and adversary, respectively.

The film also explores some of the social and political issues faced by the people of Thailand, including the influence of organized crime and the growing tensions between the rich and the poor. The movie presents a gritty and realistic portrayal of life in Bangkok, with its crowded streets, dirty alleys, and vibrant night markets.

Overall, Fist of the Warrior is a solid action movie that provides plenty of adrenaline-pumping moments, while also delving into deeper themes of morality and redemption. It's a film that will appeal to fans of martial arts movies and action thrillers, as well as those looking for a good story with compelling characters. So, if you're in the mood for an intense and exciting ride, give Fist of the Warrior a watch.
