First Period is a 2013 comedy film directed by Charlie Vaughn and starring Brandon Alexander III, Dudley Beene, and Lauren Rose Lewis. The movie is set in the 1980s and follows two high school outcasts, Cassie (Brandon Alexander III) and Maggie (Dudley Beene), who decide to create fake identities in order to fit in with the popular crowd and attend the school's biggest event, the prom. Along the way, they encounter various hilarious situations and obstacles that test their friendship and bravery.

The film starts with Cassie and Maggie getting mercilessly bullied by the popular girls at school. They are constantly teased and ridiculed and feel like they don't belong. When they learn about a contest for a prom king and queen, they see it as an opportunity to fit in and be accepted. However, they are not nominated, so they come up with the idea to create fake transfer student identities and nominate themselves.

With the help of a makeup kit and some thrift store clothes, the duo transforms into "Cassie D'Piaf" and "Donna Marie Asbury," two cool and sophisticated girls from out of town. They manage to fool everyone, including the popular girls and their crushes, but things quickly spiral out of control as they struggle to maintain their fake identities while dealing with unexpected challenges.

One of the movie's standout scenes takes place during a hair metal nightclub where Cassie and Maggie go to practice their dance moves. They are mistaken for performers and put on a show, complete with wild costumes and gyrating dance moves that have the crowd going wild. It's a hilarious and over-the-top sequence that perfectly captures the spirit of the 80s.

Throughout the movie, Cassie and Maggie learn important life lessons about friendship, self-confidence, and being true to oneself. They also discover that popularity is not all it's cracked up to be and that it's better to be true to oneself than to live a lie.

One of the strengths of the film is its strong cast of characters, each of whom brings something unique to the story. Brandon Alexander III and Dudley Beene have excellent chemistry and play off each other perfectly as Cassie and Maggie. Lauren Rose Lewis is also fantastic as the popular and manipulative Shelby, one of the film's primary antagonists.

First Period is a hilarious and heartwarming comedy that will appeal to anyone who has ever felt like an outsider. The film is full of 80s nostalgia, with plenty of neon, hair metal, and shoulder pads to go around. But at its core, it's a story about the power of friendship and the importance of staying true to oneself.

First Period is a 2013 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.3.
