First Kill is a 2017 action-packed thriller starring Bruce Willis, Hayden Christensen, and Ty Shelton. Directed by Steven C. Miller, the movie follows the story of a Wall Street broker named Will (played by Christensen), who takes his son Danny (played by Shelton) on a hunting trip in the woods in order to bond with him and to get away from the complexities of city life. However, things take a dark turn when Danny witnesses a brutal crime and becomes the target of the culprits who want their stolen loot back.

Will and Danny stumble upon a shooting in a remote area of the woods, which leaves a man wounded and another man dead. As the only witnesses to the crime, the father-son duo become embroiled in a dangerous situation, with the perpetrators looking to eliminate them both in a bid to recover their stolen loot. The situation gets worse when the crooks kidnap Danny, turning the hunt into a game of cat and mouse, with Will trying to outsmart the criminals and rescue his son before it's too late.

Bruce Willis plays the role of Police Chief Howell, who is investigating the same crime, and who becomes involved when Will reaches out to him for help. Throughout the movie, Howell and Will work together to uncover the truth behind the shooting and the subsequent kidnapping, as well as to outmaneuver the devious criminals who are holding Danny captive.

As the story unfolds, we see a vulnerable Will fighting to save his son, while also wrestling with his own limitations as a father figure. Christensen's performance is replete with emotion, as his character struggles with guilt over putting his son in harm's way. Hayden brings depth to the character, making us feel the weight of his internal struggle as he tries to reconcile his past shortcomings with his desire to do right by his son.

Ty Shelton delivers an impressive performance as Danny, throwing himself headlong into the role and convincingly portraying a terrified boy trying to hold onto his courage in the face of danger. Shelton believably captures the fear and confusion of a child grappling with the reality of kidnapping, and his performance serves as the emotional linchpin of the movie.

The movie's cinematography is stunning, with breathtaking landscapes and stunning outdoor shots that give the viewer a sense of being in the great outdoors. The soundtrack complements the rugged beauty of the setting and the adrenaline-fueled action, adding to the tension and suspense of the story.

The action sequences are well choreographed, with a number of intense gunfights, car chases, and hand-to-hand combat scenes that will appeal to fans of the genre. The movie moves at a good pace, never dwelling too long on any one aspect, and sufficiently building the characters and the plot to keep the viewer engaged.

Overall, First Kill is a thrilling and engaging movie with impressive performances from its main cast. With a gripping storyline, pulse-pounding action, and stunning visuals, there's plenty to enjoy in this movie, making it a must-watch for fans of the genre.

First Kill is a 2017 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.0 and a MetaScore of 39.
