Firehead is an action-packed thriller from 1991 that follows Jack Ford, a CIA agent who is tasked with stopping an elusive thief known as "The Surgeon" from acquiring a deadly virus. The movie stars Christopher Plummer, Chris Lemmon, and Brett Porter in leading roles and features an impressive supporting cast, including Leslie Hope and Lisa Langlois.

The movie starts with Jack Ford (Chris Lemmon) on a secret mission in North Korea, trying to obtain a sample of a virus called Grey Death that has the potential to wipe out millions of people. However, things go awry, and Jack ends up getting captured by the North Korean authorities. Jack is tortured and interrogated for information, including the identity of The Surgeon (Brett Porter), who has been busy stealing various viruses and toxins from around the world.

Fast forward to six months later; Jack is back in the USA and has been relieved of his duties. He is now working as a freelance truck driver and doing his best to stay out of trouble. However, Jack is soon approached by his former boss, Nathan White (Christopher Plummer), who tells Jack that The Surgeon has acquired the Grey Death virus and is now planning to release it in a major American city unless he is paid a ransom of 10 million dollars.

Nathan convinces Jack to help the CIA locate and apprehend The Surgeon before he can release the virus. Jack is initially hesitant, but he knows that the stakes are too high and agrees to help.

The rest of the movie follows Jack's efforts to track down The Surgeon and stop him from unleashing the deadly virus. Along the way, Jack is forced to team up with a beautiful microbiologist named Matty (Leslie Hope), who has information about The Surgeon's whereabouts. The two set out on a dangerous journey that takes them from the mountains of Utah to the bustling streets of Las Vegas.

As Jack and Matty get closer to The Surgeon, they find themselves in increasingly dangerous situations with no guarantee of success. However, they are determined to stop The Surgeon at all costs and prevent a potential catastrophe.

Firehead delivers plenty of action, suspense, and thrills. The plot is well-crafted, and the pacing keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Christopher Plummer delivers a standout performance as the wily and manipulative Nathan White, while Chris Lemmon shines as the brooding and determined Jack Ford. Brett Porter's portrayal of The Surgeon is suitably menacing and mysterious, adding an additional layer of tension to the story.

The movie also features impressive action sequences, including shootouts, car chases, and hand-to-hand combat. The action scenes are well-choreographed and add to the overall excitement of the movie.

One of the movie's strengths is its ability to balance the action with the character moments. The budding romance between Jack and Matty is handled well and never feels forced. The movie also explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and redemption, which are all handled with sensitivity and nuance.

Overall, Firehead is a highly entertaining thriller that delivers on all fronts. It has a compelling plot, memorable characters, and plenty of action. If you're a fan of action movies from the '90s, Firehead is definitely worth a watch.
