Fire Over Afghanistan is a 2003 war movie directed by Terry Cunningham. The film takes place during the early days of the United States' war on terror after the September 11 attacks, and it follows members of a Special Operations team as they are deployed to Afghanistan to fight against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda forces. The main character of the movie is Captain Ben Cutter played by Jeff Stearns. He is the leader of the Special Operations team and is a highly skilled soldier with years of combat experience. He is joined by a group of other soldiers who have all been carefully selected for their skills and expertise in various areas such as weapons, communications, and intelligence gathering.

As soon as they arrive in Afghanistan, the team finds themselves in the middle of a dangerous and chaotic situation. They are tasked with taking out a Taliban leader who is responsible for a number of terrorist attacks against the US forces in the region. However, their mission quickly goes awry when they find themselves under attack from Taliban forces.

The movie does an excellent job of portraying the difficulties and challenges that US forces faced in the early days of the war. The soldiers are shown as being ill-equipped, undermanned, and facing a determined and skilled enemy. The movie also does a great job of showing the camaraderie and bond that develops between the soldiers as they fight together against a common enemy.

Throughout the movie, there are a number of exciting and intense action sequences that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The movie does not shy away from showing the brutality and violence of war, but it also does not glorify it either. The soldiers are shown as being brave and determined, but they are also shown as being human beings who feel fear and pain.

The acting performances in the movie are excellent. Jeff Stearns does a great job of portraying the tough and no-nonsense Captain Cutter. Jordan Bayne, who plays the team's intelligence officer, also delivers a strong performance. Fred Dryer, who is probably best known for his role in the TV series Hunter, delivers a solid performance as well.

The movie's cinematography is also worth mentioning. The movie was shot entirely on location in Afghanistan, and the filmmakers did an excellent job of capturing the beauty and harshness of the Afghan landscape. The movie also makes use of real military hardware and equipment, which adds to the movie's sense of authenticity.

Overall, Fire Over Afghanistan is an intense and exciting war movie that does a great job of portraying the bravery and sacrifice of US soldiers in the early days of the war on terror. The movie is anchored by strong performances from its cast and features some excellent action sequences. While the movie is not perfect, it is definitely worth a watch for fans of the genre.

Fire Over Afghanistan is a 2003 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.5.
