He has been a world renowned figure of Cuba for over half a century. Fidel Castro waged
a revolutionary guerrilla war against Batista's fascist government in Cuba. His forces succeeded in overthrowing Batista in 1959. He then established a Marxist communist regime, which he headed until handing the reins to his brother in 2008, because of his poor health.

This documentary covers Castro's personal life. A collection of letters, interviews with his relatives, and speeches is shown. There are conversations with those who revered him, and people who were once comrades, but now despise him. Includes special details about his childhood.
