Fateless is a semi-autobiographical film based on a novel called Fatelessness. The story is about a young boy who is sent to three different concentration camps: Auschwitz, Buchenwald and Zeitz. The 14-year-old boy questions what it means to be a Jew and live his life during a time of such unrest. He comes of age in the concentration camps and his life changes forever. He learns to find happiness and beauty in the camp while surrounded by sadness and death.
Fateless was filmed in Hungary and it remains one of the most expensive films ever made in the country.
