Fast Life is a 1932 film that follows the life of a young and daring race car driver, Larry Day (William Haines). The film showcases Larry's passion for racing and adventure, as well as the difficulties he encounters along the way. Fast Life begins with Larry winning a race and returning home to celebrate with his friends and family. Despite his success, Larry has a complicated personal life. He is engaged to his childhood friend, Sue (Madge Evans), but is also in love with a wealthy woman named Gail (Joan Marsh). When Gail's father forbids the two from seeing each other, Larry becomes increasingly frustrated and begins to take unnecessary risks on the racetrack.

As Larry's racing career continues, he becomes increasingly reckless, endangering not only himself but also those around him. His actions put a strain on his relationships with both Sue and Gail, as they struggle to understand his dangerous behavior.

The film takes a dramatic turn when Larry's friend and fellow racer, Eddie (Conrad Nagel), is killed in a crash. This tragedy forces Larry to reevaluate his priorities and reconsider his actions on the racetrack. With the help of Sue and his mechanic, Pop (Ernest Torrence), Larry learns to tone down his reckless behavior and becomes a safer driver.

However, Larry's newfound sense of caution is put to the test when he discovers that his rival on the racetrack, Tony (Kane Richmond), has been using a dangerous and illegal oil additive to gain an unfair advantage. In a thrilling climax, Larry confronts Tony on the racetrack and risks everything to stop him from using the additive.

Fast Life is a classic film that showcases the excitement and danger of early 20th-century racing. William Haines delivers a mesmerizing performance as the daring and charismatic Larry, while Madge Evans and Joan Marsh provide strong supporting performances as his love interests.
