Extra Ordinary is a 2019 Irish comedy-horror film directed by Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman. The movie stars Maeve Higgins, Barry Ward, and Will Forte. The film tells the story of Rose, a driving instructor with supernatural abilities, who must save Martin, a widower and his daughter Sarah, from the clutches of a washed-up one-hit-wonder rock star who wants to sacrifice Sarah to Satan in exchange for his once-great career.

Rose Dooley is a retired psychic who now works as a driving instructor in a small town in rural Ireland. She has tried to distance herself from her past and her abilities, but her quirky neighbor and her father still seek her help with their supernatural problems. When Martin Martin, a widower and owner of a haunted roadside zoo, seeks her help to exorcise his late wife's ghost from his home, Rose reluctantly accepts, setting in motion a series of strange events that will test her abilities and put her life in danger.

However, Martin is not the only one seeking Rose's help, as soon she discovers that Christian Winter, a one-hit-wonder rock star who sold his soul to the devil for fame, plans to sacrifice Martin's daughter Sarah in order to revitalize his career. To complicate matters further, Winter's wife, Claudia, is a witch who is tired of her husband's shenanigans and wants to get rid of him.

The story is a mix of comedy and horror, with plenty of quirky and eccentric characters. The humor is mainly derived from Rose's deadpan wit and her interactions with her father and neighbors. The horror element is kept light, with amusing and inventive supernatural scenes, such as floating objects and possessed animals. The pacing is brisk and the movie never takes itself too seriously, making it a fun watch for fans of horror-comedy.

The film's cast is excellent, especially Maeve Higgins as Rose, who brings a lot of charm and humor to the character. Barry Ward also gives a great performance as Martin, imbuing him with a mix of pathos and humor. Will Forte is also a standout, portraying the slimy and desperate Christian Winter with just the right amount of ridiculousness.

The movie's soundtrack is also noteworthy, with a mix of original songs by Christian Winter and a score by George Brennan that perfectly captures the film's whimsical and spooky tone.

Overall, Extra Ordinary is a fun and inventive horror-comedy with a great cast and a lot of heart. The film's humor and horror elements work well together, creating a unique and enjoyable experience for viewers.

Extra Ordinary is a 2020 fantasy movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 34 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.4 and a MetaScore of 72.
