A young girl named Gail Bowers (Erica Roby) begins to exhibit very unusual symptoms which can not be explained by medical science. Her astonished psychiatrist, Dr Richard Thornhill (David Shick), becomes convinced that the girl must be possessed by the Devil. The doctor then seeks out the services of a Catholic priest to perform the rite of exorcism on the girl.
This horror film, made by The Asylum and released dIrectly-to-DVD, uses the true events that inspired the movie The Exorcist as its basis. It is a terrifying tale in which the malevolent forces of evil that have taken over Gail Bowers start to reveal themselves and then fight back when they are confronted by Father Thomas Bates (Thomas Downey) who visits the girl’s home and attempts to perform the exorcism. During the ritual service, a disturbing sequence of events begins to unfold.
The Catholic priest was first alerted to the child’s situation by a local couple. Clark Pederson (Griff Furst) and his wife Anne (Noel Thurman) talk about the problems that Gail Bowers’ possession is causing in their neighborhood. The couple also report that traditional medical treatment has been unable to help the girl.
