Everyone Says I Love You is a musical romantic comedy film from 1996 directed by Woody Allen. It features an impressive ensemble cast including Woody Allen himself, Goldie Hawn, Julia Roberts, Alan Alda, Edward Norton, Drew Barrymore, and Natalie Portman among others. This film is a tribute to the classic Hollywood musicals of the past, with a contemporary twist.

The film is set in New York City and Venice, Italy and revolves around a wealthy Manhattan family, the Dandridges. The family consists of art dealer Bob (Alan Alda), his wife Steffi (Goldie Hawn), their daughter Skylar (Drew Barrymore), and their sons Scott (Lukas Haas) and DJ (Natasha Lyonne). The family is the epitome of happiness, or so it seems. As the film opens, we get a glimpse of the lives of the Dandridges, and we soon realize that their perfect lives are not so perfect after all.

The film follows a series of love stories between the members of the Dandridge family and their friends. The first one, and perhaps the most complicated, is between Steffi's ex-husband and Skylar's father, Bob, and her boyfriend Joe (Woody Allen). Joe is a neurotic writer who lives in Paris, and he has come to New York to win back Steffi's heart. Steffi, on the other hand, is torn between her love for Bob and her attraction to Joe.

At the same time, Skylar is involved in a love triangle with Holden (Edward Norton), a young man from a wealthy family with artistic aspirations, and Charles Ferry (Tim Roth), a convicted criminal who is on parole. She soon realizes that her perfect life with Holden is not as perfect as she thought it was, and that she is more drawn to Charles' sense of adventure.

Meanwhile, DJ falls for Von (Julia Roberts), a beautiful jazz singer who has just returned to the city. DJ is initially insecure about his feelings for Von, but eventually, he plucks up the courage to declare his love for her. Von is torn between her feelings for DJ and her ex-boyfriend, who is overseas.

Throughout the movie, the characters break into song, singing classic American songs such as "Just You, Just Me", "My Baby Just Cares for Me", and "Makin' Whoopee". Woody Allen also showcases his skills as a musician, playing the clarinet in a number of musical scenes.

The film's setting is truly breathtaking. The scenes shot in Venice create a romantic atmosphere, while the ones filmed in New York perfectly capture the city's vibrancy. The film's humor is also on point, with Allen's neurotic character bringing a lot of laughs.

Overall, Everyone Says I Love You is a charming romantic comedy that showcases Allen's love for classic Hollywood musicals. It has a fun and catchy soundtrack, a great ensemble cast, and stunning locations. The film's themes of love, self-discovery, and family dynamics are relatable and endearing. If you're a fan of musicals, romantic comedies, or just a good time at the movies, Everyone Says I Love You is definitely worth checking out.
