Enchanted is a romantic comedy film that was released in 2007. It stars Amy Adams as Giselle, a fairytale princess who is banished from her animated world into modern-day New York City. Susan Sarandon plays the wicked Queen Narissa who is trying to prevent Giselle from marrying her son, Prince Edward (played by James Marsden). The movie begins in a traditional animated storybook kingdom called Andalasia, where Giselle lives in a beautiful forest with her animal friends. She dreams of true love's kiss and Prince Charming, and when she meets Edward, they fall in love at first sight. However, their plans to marry are foiled by the evil Queen Narissa who banishes Giselle from Andalasia to a place where there are "no happy endings".

Giselle ends up in present-day New York City where she awakens in Times Square and is immediately overwhelmed by the bustling city. She is saved from danger by a divorce lawyer named Robert (played by Patrick Dempsey) and his young daughter, Morgan. Giselle believes that Robert is her true love's kiss and sets out to win his heart while trying to find her way back to Andalasia.

As Giselle tries to navigate the new world, she discovers that things are not always as they seem. She sings and dances her way through Central Park, annoying everyone around her with her fairytale antics. In one of the most memorable scenes, she cleans up a rundown apartment with the help of some animals, singing "That's How You Know". Adams' portrayal of Giselle is enchanting and she captures the spirit of a classic Disney princess perfectly.

Meanwhile, the evil Queen Narissa sends her bumbling henchman Nathaniel (played by Timothy Spall) after Giselle to make sure that she never returns to Andalasia. Nathaniel's attempts to stop Giselle are often hilarious, and he is a fun addition to the movie.

As Giselle spends more time with Robert and Morgan, she begins to see the value in a more practical, realistic approach to life. She learns that true love is not just about grand gestures and happily ever afters, but it's about building a relationship with someone that you care about.

The film is filled with references to classic Disney fairytales, and there are several cameos from well-known actors who have appeared in Disney movies before. For example, Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid) makes an appearance as Robert's secretary.

Enchanted is a charming film that will appeal to both adults and children. It's a love letter to classic Disney animation with a modern twist, and Amy Adams shines as the lovable Giselle. Susan Sarandon gives a great performance as the villainous Queen, and James Marsden is perfectly cast as the handsome but slightly dense Prince Edward.

The movie's message about the power of love and the importance of family is heartwarming, and the memorable musical numbers will have you singing along for days. Enchanted is a magical film that will leave you feeling happy and nostalgic for the Disney films of your childhood.

Enchanted is a 2007 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 47 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.1 and a MetaScore of 75.
