Elektra Luxx is a quirky and irreverent comedy that follows the titular character, a retired porn star played by Carla Gugino. The film opens with Elektra discovering that she is pregnant, which causes her to question her future and the choices she's made in her life so far. As she struggles with the idea of becoming a mother, Elektra is approached by a young man named Jimmy, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Jimmy is a struggling blogger who is trying to track down an experimental filmmaker named Cora, played by Marley Shelton. Cora has supposedly died, but Jimmy believes that she may have faked her own death and is hiding out somewhere in Los Angeles.

Jimmy convinces Elektra to help him find Cora, which leads them on a wild and hilarious journey through the seedy underbelly of Hollywood. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including a gun-toting lesbian assassin played by Emmanuelle Chriqui, a Hollywood agent played by Timothy Olyphant, and a Mexican wrestler played by Ermahn Ospina.

As they search for Cora, Elektra and Jimmy begin to form a bond, and Elektra starts to come to terms with her past and the choices that have brought her to this point in her life. Meanwhile, the search for Cora leads to some surprising revelations and twists that keep the audience engaged and entertained throughout.

One of the strengths of Elektra Luxx is its cast. Carla Gugino delivers a strong and nuanced performance as Elektra, capturing both her vulnerability and her resilience as she navigates this new chapter in her life. Joseph Gordon-Levitt brings his usual charm and charisma to the role of Jimmy, making him a likable and relatable character despite his sometimes shady behavior.

The supporting cast is equally impressive, with standout performances from Emmanuelle Chriqui as the tough-as-nails assassin, and Timothy Olyphant as the sleazy agent who is always looking for the next big thing. Even the smaller roles are well-cast and well-played, adding to the overall sense of fun and whimsy that permeates the film.

In addition to its strong cast, Elektra Luxx also benefits from its playful and irreverent tone. The film takes a satirical look at the world of pornography and Hollywood, poking fun at the absurdities and excesses of both while still finding moments of genuine heart and emotion.

The dialogue is sharp and witty, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and clever one-liners. The film also features some great visual gags and comedic set pieces that add to the overall sense of fun and levity.

While Elektra Luxx may not be a perfect film – there are some plot points that feel a bit contrived, and the pacing can be uneven at times – it is an enjoyable and entertaining romp that is worth checking out. Whether you're a fan of the cast, the genre, or just looking for a good laugh, Elektra Luxx delivers the goods.

Elektra Luxx is a 2011 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 44 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.0 and a MetaScore of 50.
