Don Anselmo Proharan, a retired government minister, finds himself in tight quarters when he's forced to move in with his son and his family. Confined to one tiny room in the house, the widower Don Anselmo slowly finds his social life dwindling away bit by bit. Determined to regain his freedom and mobility, Don Anselmo becomes obsessed with getting his own motorized wheelchair and is willing to do almost anything to get one.
