Ek Ladka Ek Ladki is a romantic comedy movie that hit the big screens in 1992. The film is directed by Vijay Sadanah and stars Salman Khan, Neelam Kothari, and Anupam Kher in lead roles. The movie tells the story of Raja (Salman Khan), a free-spirited and carefree young man who wants to enjoy life to the fullest. One day, he meets the beautiful and bubbly Madhu (Neelam Kothari) and falls in love with her. However, Madhu is engaged to Rana (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), a wealthy man who is obsessed with her and will go to any extent to keep her for himself.
Raja's love for Madhu is at first sight, but it takes some time to convince her about his feelings as she is already engaged. Eventually, Madhu starts to fall for Raja's charm and is in a dilemma whether to marry Rana or follow her heart and be with Raja.
The movie takes a hilarious turn when Raja decides to seek the help of his friend, a psychiatrist played by Anupam Kher, to make Madhu fall in love with him. The psychiatrist advises Raja to act like Madhu's future son-in-law and impress her family so that they can approve of Raja as her husband.
The comedy of errors and confusion begins when Raja's father, Pratap Singh (Tiku Talsania), mistakes Madhu to be Rana's fiancé and Rana as Raja's fiancé. The confusion deepens when Rana's mother (Shobha Khote) mistakes the situation and ends up convincing Raja's parents to get his marriage done with Rana.
