The movie revolves around Raja, played by Govinda, who is a spoilt brat and heir to the riches of the powerful Thakur family. Raja's father is a corrupt and manipulative man, who always manages to get his way by bribing government officials and politicians. One day, Raja's father is killed in an accident and Raja is left to take care of the family business.
Raja, however, is not interested in business and is more concerned with partying and having a good time. He meets Kajal, played by Karisma Kapoor, and falls in love with her. Raja realizes that he needs to change his ways and win Kajal's love. He decides to help Kajal's uncle and repay the debt that his father owed to him. This leads to a conflict with his own family, who are not willing to give up their ill-gotten wealth. Meanwhile, Raja's cousin, Vikram, played by Ranjeet Bedi, is jealous of Raja and plots to take over the family business.
The movie has a lot of comedy and drama, and Govinda's performance is outstanding as always. His chemistry with Karisma Kapoor is also excellent, and they make a great on-screen couple. The songs in the movie are also very catchy and have become quite popular over the years.
