Watch Dronningens vagtmester

This Danish historical and biographical war drama film was released in theaters in 1963. The title of the film when translated from Danish to English is The Queen's Caretaker. It is based on the novel written by Danish author Carit Etlar. The film is about the life of Danish military commander Svend Poulsen. Poulsen was famous for leading Danish troops fighting against Swedish invaders in the numerous wars fought between Sweden and Denmark in the 1600's. He was known to lead a company of dragoons or mounted cavalry on horseback and helped defend the city of Copenhagen during the Swedish siege during the Great Northern War.
