Double Date is a 2017 British horror-comedy film directed by Benjamin Barfoot, starring Danny Morgan, Georgia Groome, and Michael Socha. The movie tells the story of Jim, a socially awkward and sexually frustrated 29-year-old virgin, who is persuaded by his confident and charismatic best friend Alex to join him on a double date. Alex has arranged for them to meet two beautiful sisters, Kitty and Lulu, who are looking for a good time.

As they embark on their night out, Jim begins to feel increasingly unsure about the situation. He questions Alex's motives as he seems to be more interested in seducing the sisters than in Jim's happiness. On top of that, Jim soon realizes that the girls are not what they seem to be. They might be seductive and charming, but they have more sinister plans in mind.

As the night progresses, things start to get weirder, and Jim becomes increasingly uneasy. Alex, however, is oblivious to Jim's concerns and continues to pursue Kitty and Lulu. Jim's fears are confirmed when he discovers that the sisters are part of a devil-worshipping cult and that Alex has been lured in by their seductive powers.

Soon, Jim finds himself in a life-and-death struggle to save not only himself but also his best friend from the clutches of the sinister cultists. The film is peppered with dark humor, and the tense moments are interspersed with witty one-liners and hilarious dialogue.

Danny Morgan delivers an excellent performance as the socially awkward and somewhat pathetic Jim, who is struggling to find his place in the world. The character of Jim is funny, endearing, and relatable, and the audience can't help but root for him even though he seems to be hopelessly out of his depth. Georgia Groome and Michael Socha are also excellent as the seductive and dangerous sisters and Jim's womanizing friend, respectively.

The movie is visually stunning, with some truly impressive cinematography that captures the mood of the film perfectly. The use of color and lighting is particularly effective in creating a sense of dread and foreboding, and the scenes set in the cult's lair are creepy and atmospheric.

Overall, Double Date is an excellent horror-comedy movie that is both terrifying and hilarious. The cast delivers outstanding performances, and the writing is sharp and witty. It's a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat while also making you laugh out loud. If you're a fan of horror-comedies like Shaun of the Dead, you won't want to miss this film.
