Dolly Ki Doli is a Bollywood movie released in 2015, directed by Abhishek Dogra and produced by Arbaaz Khan. The film stars Sonam Kapoor in the titular role of Dolly, alongside Pulkit Samrat, Rajkummar Rao, and Varun Sharma. The movie tells the story of a con artist named Dolly who marries wealthy men and then disappears with all their money and valuables, leaving them heartbroken and penniless. Dolly is a master of disguise and is able to charm her victims with her beauty and wit. She works with a team of accomplices who help her carry out her cons.
The movie begins with Dolly's latest target, a young man named Sonu Sherawat (Rajkummar Rao) who is smitten with her and eager to marry her. Dolly agrees to marry him, and the two have a grand wedding ceremony. However, on their wedding night, Dolly drugs Sonu and steals all his money and jewelry.
Dolly then moves on to her next target, a rich businessman named Manjot Singh Chadda (Varun Sharma), who falls head over heels for her. Dolly once again manages to charm him and convinces him to marry her. However, her plans are thwarted when Manjot's uncle, Robin Singh (Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub), a police officer, starts to suspect her.
Things get complicated when one of Dolly's former victims, a street-smart con artist named Raju (Pulkit Samrat), comes back into her life. Raju is angry at Dolly for ruining his once-successful con business, and he wants revenge. However, as he gets to know her better, he begins to develop feelings for her.
The rest of the movie deals with Dolly's attempts to evade the police, outsmart her enemies, and find true love. The film explores themes of love, betrayal, and redemption, as Dolly grapples with the consequences of her actions and tries to make amends for the people she has hurt.
One of the highlights of the movie is Sonam Kapoor's performance as Dolly. Kapoor perfectly captures the character's charm and wit, and is able to switch effortlessly between different personas as Dolly dons various disguises throughout the film. Rajkummar Rao, Varun Sharma, and Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub also deliver strong performances, adding depth and nuance to their respective characters.
The film's soundtrack, composed by Sajid-Wajid, features several catchy numbers, including the popular songs "Phatte Tak Nachna" and "Mere Naina Kafir Hogaye". The film's colorful visuals and energetic dance sequences add to its overall entertainment value.
Overall, Dolly Ki Doli is a fun and engaging movie that combines elements of romance, comedy, and drama. The film's clever plot and strong performances make it an enjoyable watch, and its exploration of themes such as love and redemption give it some added depth.
