This is a war movie. It is a docudrama about the Vietnam Era. When the French were fighting the Vietnam War, their one complaint was the guerrilla war tactics used by the enemy. The French claimed that if the enemy ever fought of a real battleground they would defeat them. Dien Bien Phu lasted 57 days. It was the response to the French boasts. An American reporter was present during every day of this momentous battle. This is the story of his time in that war.

This documents the American reporter's story and the defeat and withdrawal of the French from Vietnam.
