Diamond Men is a drama film that tells the story of a veteran traveling salesman, Eddie Miller, played by Robert Forster, who has been in the business for over 30 years, selling diamonds door to door to jewelry stores across the Midwest. When Eddie suffers a heart attack, he is forced to retire and receives the news that his boss and long-time friend, Harvey, played by George Coe, wants him to train his replacement, a young and inexperienced salesman named Bobby Walker, played by Donnie Wahlberg.

Eddie, who is used to working independently and being his own boss, initially has a hard time adjusting to having someone following him around. He and Bobby soon encounter various challenges on the road, including difficult clients, hostile competition, and personal issues that bring them closer together. Eddie teaches Bobby the tricks of the trade, including how to make deals with an impeccable sales pitch, and how to use his personality to his advantage.

Throughout the film, the audience gets a glimpse into Eddie's personal life, which is not as successful as his professional one. He has a strained relationship with his daughter, Karen, played by Bess Armstrong, and is grieving the loss of his wife, who passed away a few years prior. Karen, who is getting married soon, is reluctant to invite her father to the wedding because she hasn't forgiven him for abandoning her mother when she was sick.

As Eddie and Bobby travel from city to city, they share stories about their lives and form a bond. Eddie sees a lot of potential in Bobby and decides to take him under his wing. When they encounter their toughest challenge yet, they must work together as a team to overcome it. The experience makes them both grow as salesmen and as people.

The film beautifully captures the dynamics of a father-daughter relationship and the struggles of an aging salesman who is trying to adapt to a changing world. The acting is superb, particularly Robert Forster's performance as Eddie Miller, a complex character who embodies both brusque and fatherly qualities. Donnie Wahlberg's portrayal of Bobby Walker is also noteworthy, as he transitions from a naive and insecure salesman to a confident and assertive one.

Diamond Men is a heartfelt and captivating drama that showcases the ups and downs of the diamond industry and the emotional lives of its characters. It is a story about second chances and human connections that will leave viewers satisfied and moved.
