Devil's Gate is a 2017 science fiction thriller that follows the disappearance of Maria Pritchard (Bridget Regan) and her son Jonah (Spencer Drever) in Devil's Gate, North Dakota. The disappearance draws the attention of the FBI who sends special agent Daria Francis (Amanda Schull) and local sheriff Gruenwell (Jonathan Frakes) to investigate the case. However, they soon discover that nothing is what it seems in this small town.

As they investigate the Pritchard family's disappearance, they learn that Maria's husband Jackson (Milo Ventimiglia) is the primary suspect. He is uncooperative and seems to be hiding something, which only makes the agents more suspicious. However, when they enter the Pritchard's farmhouse, they discover something far more sinister than they could have ever imagined.

The farmhouse appears to be abandoned, but Francis and Gruenwell soon hear strange noises coming from below the house. They find a hidden entrance that leads to a basement where they discover a bizarre and unsettling scene.

The basement is filled with strange machinery and equipment, and there are symbols written on the walls. It soon becomes clear that Jackson has been conducting strange experiments in the basement, and that he might be in contact with something not of this world.

As the agents continue to investigate, they become entangled in a dangerous and otherworldly mystery. Jackson's strange experiments seem to have attracted the attention of alien beings, and they soon find themselves fighting for their lives against a powerful and malevolent force. The agents realize that they are in over their heads and must call for backup to help them contain the situation.

Meanwhile, Jon (Shawn Ashmore), a local deputy, is also investigating the case. He finds himself drawn to Maria and Jonah's story and starts to uncover secrets that have been kept hidden for years. He soon discovers that there is a far-reaching conspiracy at play, and that the events in Devil's Gate go beyond anything he could have imagined.

As the events in Devil's Gate unfold, the agents and Jon must fight to keep the town safe from the otherworldly danger. They realize that they are dealing with a force far more powerful than they had ever anticipated and that they might not be able to contain it. It becomes a race against time to stop the aliens before it's too late.
