Desperate Teenage Lovedolls tells the story of three teenage girls who form a punk rock band and embark on a wild ride of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. The film takes place in Los Angeles during the 1980s punk scene. The three main characters are Kitty Karryall (Jennifer Schwartz), Patch Kelly (Hilary Rubens), and Roxanne Meadows (Janet Housden). All three girls come from troubled backgrounds and are drawn to punk music as a way to express themselves.

Kitty is a runaway who has been living on the streets since her parents kicked her out. Patch is a rebellious teenager who hates her middle-class upbringing and longs for something more. Roxanne is a rich kid who is bored with her privileged life and craves excitement.

The three girls meet at a punk show and form a band called The Lovedolls. They start playing gigs at local clubs and quickly gain a following. However, their success is short-lived when they run afoul of a sleazy record producer named Johnny Quid (Jeff McDonald).

Quid offers to sign the band to a record deal but demands sexual favors in return. The girls refuse and Quid retaliates by destroying their reputation and getting them blacklisted from the music scene.

Undeterred, the girls continue to pursue their dreams and embark on a wild and dangerous journey that involves drug addiction, prostitution, and violence. Along the way, they meet a cast of eccentric characters, including a drug-dealing preacher, a stalker, and a Nazi skinhead.

Despite the dark subject matter, Desperate Teenage Lovedolls is a fun and entertaining film that captures the spirit of the punk scene. The acting is raw and authentic, and the soundtrack features some of the best punk bands of the era, including Black Flag and Redd Kross.

The film was directed by David Markey, who was a prominent figure in the punk scene and also directed the cult classic The Slog Movie. Markey's background in the music industry gives the film an insider's perspective on the punk scene, and his use of handheld cameras and rapid editing techniques give the film a gritty and visceral feel.

Desperate Teenage Lovedolls is not for everyone. Its graphic content and dark subject matter make it a challenging and sometimes disturbing film to watch. However, for fans of punk rock and underground cinema, it is a must-see film that captures the energy and rebellious spirit of the punk scene.
