Watch Deep Impact

Deep Impact is an action-adventure film that centers around a meteor that is barreling towards Earth. A reporter is investigation the abrupt resignation of the Secretary of the Treasury when she discovers that he was protecting information about an "extinction-level event". Because of the reporter's work, the President of the United States is forced to admit to the public that there is a comet headed for a collision with planet Earth.
The United States then teams up with former rival Russia in order to build a special rocket. The rocket will be home to several astronauts who will pilot the vessel towards the comet and destroy it with nuclear weapons. However, this mission fails. The nuclear weapons only end up splitting the comet into two pieces, both of which are still large enough to damage the earth.

Deep Impact is a 1998 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 1 minute. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 40.
