In Deathgasm, we follow the story of two teenage outcasts - Brodie (Milo Cawthorne) and Zakk (James Joshua Blake). They are both huge heavy metal fans who live in a small town in New Zealand, where nothing much ever happens. However, when they accidentally summon an ancient evil entity, they find themselves fighting for their own survival and that of their town.

After Brodie moves into his Uncle's house in a small town called Greypoint, he struggles to fit in at his new school. After getting bullied by some classmates, he becomes friends with Zakk, a fellow metalhead, who introduces him to the dark world of black metal. They form their own band called Deathgasm, which Brodie describes as "blackout thrash, death hymns and doom metal."

The boys stumble upon some ancient sheet music that's been hidden in the house and decides to play it in the hopes of creating some killer tunes. However, they end up accidentally summoning an evil entity known as Aeloth, which possesses anyone who comes in contact with it. Chaos ensues as the boys and their friends must try to survive the evil entity that is now hellbent on destroying everything in its path.

Throughout the movie, we see Brodie and Zakk battle it out with demons and use their musical talents to try to save their town. Along the way, they recruit new band members like Medina (Kimberley Crossman), a girl who has a crush on Brodie and has her own experience with the evil entity.

The movie plays out like a love letter to metal and horror fans, with its gory violence and over-the-top humor. Deathgasm is full of blood, guts, and plenty of laughs, making it a fun watch for those who don't mind a bit of gore.

Milo Cawthorne who plays Brodie is convincing as the outcast and a sympathetic hero trying to save his town. James Joshua Blake as Zakk is the perfect partner in crime, providing comic relief and playing the role of the bad boy who is hiding a soft spot. Kimberley Crossman, as Medina, brings some much-needed femininity to the film, playing the role of the love interest and proving to be a capable member of the band.

The script, written by Jason Lei Howden, who also directs the film, is full of witty one-liners, sarcasm, and plenty of pop culture references. The Deathgasm soundtrack is full of head-banging tunes and will have you tapping your foot along to the music.

Deathgasm is not for the faint of heart, but it's a thrilling and entertaining film for those who love heavy metal and horror. The movie is full of creative kills and humor that will have you laughing even in the midst of its most intense moments. If you're a fan of movies like Evil Dead or Shaun of the Dead, then Deathgasm is definitely worth a watch.

Overall, Deathgasm is a fun and entertaining horror-comedy that delivers on its promise of blood, death, and destruction. The movie has an excellent cast of characters, witty humor, and fantastic music, making it a must-see for any horror or metal fan out there.
