Deadly Code is a gripping crime drama that tells the story of two young boys, Julian and Viktor, growing up in the criminal underworld of the Siberian town of Norilsk. The boys' fathers are high-ranking members of the Bratva, the Russian mafia, and as such, Julian and Viktor are expected to follow in their footsteps and join the organization.

The film opens with a flashback to the 1980s, where we see Julian's father, Kuzja (played by Vilius Tumalavicius), and Viktor's father, Alexandr (played by Donatas Simukauskas), committing a brutal murder. Fast-forward to present day, and Julian (played by Arnas Fedaravicius) and Viktor (played by Vilius Tumalavicius) are now young men who have been trained in the ways of the Bratva since they were children. Julian is the more reserved of the two, while Viktor is hot-headed and impulsive.

The boys' loyalty to the Bratva is tested when Alexandr is murdered and Kuzja is framed for the crime. The real culprit is revealed to be Kuzja's own brother, Merk (played by Kestutis Stasys Jakstas), who is a rival within the organization. Julian and Viktor decide to take matters into their own hands and seek revenge for their fathers' honor.

As the boys embark on their quest for vengeance, they come up against a ruthless detective, Gono (played by John Malkovich), who has his own agenda in bringing down the Bratva. Gono becomes obsessed with Julian and Viktor, and the boys find themselves in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the seasoned detective.

The tension and drama in Deadly Code are heightened by the harsh and unforgiving landscape of Norilsk, which serves as an oppressive backdrop to the story. The film also explores the theme of loyalty and the bond that exists between fathers and sons, as the boys struggle with their own sense of duty to the Bratva and their desire for revenge.

The performances in Deadly Code are strong across the board, with Malkovich bringing his trademark intensity to the role of Gono. Fedaravicius and Tumalavicius are also impressive as the two young leads, conveying the conflicting emotions of their characters with subtlety and nuance.

Another standout element of the film is the cinematography, which captures the stark beauty of the Siberian landscape in striking detail. The use of slow-motion and stylized camera work also adds to the film's visual impact, heightening the drama and tension in key scenes.

Overall, Deadly Code is a tense and gripping crime drama that explores the dark and dangerous world of the Russian mafia. With strong performances, stunning visuals, and a compelling storyline, it is a film that is sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences.

Deadly Code is a 2013 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.3.
