Deadline is a 2006 Bollywood film that follows a chain of events in the life of an award winning heart surgeon named Dr. Viren Goenka. The doctor has a wife and an asthmatic daughter. Right after the award presentation, Dr. Goenka is informed that his wife and daughter have been kidnapped for a huge ransom. The doctor works feverishly to get the ransom together. His wife is returned to him while his daughter is not. At the end of the movie, the reason for the kidnappings is made clear.
