Dark Nature is a 2009 British horror movie directed by Marc de Launay. The movie follows a group of friends who embark on a camping trip in the Scottish Highlands in hopes of having a relaxing weekend away from their stressful lives. However, things take a dark turn when they arrive at their destination and find themselves in the middle of an ancient forest that is alive with supernatural forces.

The lead character is Adam (played by Niall Greig Fulton), who is a photojournalist who has brought his girlfriend Lynne (Vicky Wong) along for the trip. Joining them are Adam's brother Greg (Tom Carter), Greg's girlfriend Sophie (Imogen Toner), and their friends David (James Bryce) and Alex (Natalie Press). The group is initially excited about their getaway but their excitement soon turns to dread when they realize they are not alone in the forest.

The eerie forest is inhabited by strange creatures and mysterious spirits, and the group begins to experience unexplainable events. They hear strange noises and see shadowy figures lurking in the trees. As the night wears on, they encounter an elderly woman (Doreen McGillivray) who lives in a secluded cabin in the woods. The woman warns them of the dangers of the forest and tells them of an ancient curse that has plagued the land for centuries.

As the group attempts to make their way back to civilization, they become increasingly disoriented and find themselves trapped in the forest. With strange things happening all around them, and their sanity slowly slipping away, they realize they will have to fight for their lives if they want to make it out of the forest alive.

The movie is shot in a dark, grainy style that adds to the horror and suspense. The forest is an overwhelming presence in the film, and de Launay creates an atmosphere of dread and foreboding that lingers throughout. The cast delivers solid performances, and there are enough twists and turns to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Overall, Dark Nature is a creepy and intense horror movie that will appeal to fans of the genre. It's a chilling tale of a group of friends who find themselves in a place where the natural world has turned against them, and they must fight to survive against supernatural forces they don't fully understand.

Dark Nature is a 2009 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 17 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.1.
