Dangerous Money is a 1946 crime drama film that begins with a mysterious and rich man, John Keith, being shot on a cruise ship. The ship is heading to San Francisco and John's friend, Charlie Chan, a Honolulu detective, is also onboard. Charlie Chan, along with his assistant Jimmy and son Tommy, comes forward to help solve the case.

The police and Keith's family suspect that the shooting was the work of the infamous Crimson Circle, who have been executing several other such murders recently. Charlie Chan and his team begin investigating the case and soon zero in on several suspects. Firstly, they look into Keith's ex-wife, Mrs. Holtz, who is a promising suspect given the fact that she is greedy and wants to get back at him for leaving her. In addition, Keith's former business partner, Rodney Stuart, is also a suspect. There are rumors that Keith and Stuart had a 'falling out', and Stuart has lots to gain from Keith's death.

Furthermore, Charlie Chan discovers that the motive behind the shooting could be Keith's love interest, Diane Burnell, who has been secretly meeting with Stuart. Chan also uncovers the involvement of a well-known criminal, Benny Chan, who tries to bribe Charlie Chan to ensure that he and his accomplices remain uncaught. But Charlie Chan is not swayed, and he continues to investigate to get to the bottom of the case.

As the investigation progresses, the suspects become increasingly nervous, and Chan uses his intelligence and detective skills to unravel their secrets, motives and alibis. In the end, the case comes to a head, and the identity of the real culprit is revealed.

The film is directed by Terry O. Morse and stars Sidney Toler as Charlie Chan, Gloria Warren as Diane Burnell, and Victor Sen Yung as Chan's assistant, Jimmy. The film has a lot of drama and thrills, combined with intelligent and thoughtful detective work. Toler gives a mesmerizing performance as Chan, with his characteristic calm and collected presence that catches the audience's attention. The rest of the cast also do a great job of bringing their characters to life, adding to the overall suspense and intrigue of the film.

One of the highlights of the movie is the fact that the storyline is compelling and raises some serious questions about greed, deception, and loyalty. The film brilliantly weaves together issues of loyalty, trust, and greed into a thrilling murder mystery. It keeps the audience on edge as they try to figure out how the story will unfold and who will eventually be revealed as the killer.

Overall, Dangerous Money is a must-see for anyone who loves mystery, suspense, and crime films.
