Watch Daibyonin

This Japanese film is entitled "the great patient." It recounts a fictional story about a famous Japanese director named Buhei Mikai, who encounters a strange situation when he develops terminal stomach cancer, but his family and friends hope to conceal the seriousness of his condition from him. The film was written and directed by Juzo Itami, an acclaimed director in Japan who reportedly was himself briefly hospitalized after his face was slashed by an attacker following his release of a film making fun of the Japanese Yakuza. Daibyonin earned a prestigious Japanese film award for acting performances. Rentaro Mukuni stars.
