Crying Fist is a movie that centers around two struggling individuals who find themselves at a crossroads in their lives. The film stars Choi Min-sik as Kang, a former boxing champion who has hit rock bottom after serving time in prison. Seung-beom Ryu plays Sang-hwan, a young man who has lost his way in life and has become involved in petty crimes. Despite their different backgrounds, both men share a common desire to turn their lives around and find a sense of purpose.

The film is divided into two parts, each following the respective journeys of Kang and Sang-hwan. In the first part, we are introduced to Kang, who upon his release from prison, struggles to find his place in society. He faces rejection from his estranged family, is unable to find a job, and resorts to living in a public sauna. As a former boxing champion, he decides to return to the ring in an effort to reclaim his former glory. However, he is met with disappointment when he realizes that he is no longer the fighter he once was.

Meanwhile, Sang-hwan's story begins with him participating in a street fight. He is apprehended by the police and sent to a rehabilitation center for troubled youth. While at the center, he discovers his talent for boxing and begins to train with a former champion named Hae-rang (played by Jeong-ah Bae). Hae-rang takes Sang-hwan under her wing and becomes his mentor, teaching him not only the skills he needs to become a professional boxer but also the values of hard work and perseverance.

The two storylines converge in the second part of the film when Kang and Sang-hwan are pitted against each other in a boxing match. Kang is desperate to win in order to prove to himself and others that he still has what it takes, while Sang-hwan is determined to make a name for himself in the boxing world. What ensues is a thrilling match that leaves both men battered and bruised but also with a newfound sense of respect for each other.

Crying Fist is an emotional and powerful film that explores themes of redemption, perseverance, and the importance of second chances. The performances by Choi Min-sik and Seung-beom Ryu are outstanding, and their chemistry on screen is palpable. Director Seung-wan Ryoo does an excellent job of capturing the grittiness and rawness of the boxing world, while also infusing the film with moments of heart and humanity.

Overall, Crying Fist is a must-see for anyone who enjoys a well-crafted drama with strong performances and engaging characters. It is a film that will leave you inspired and moved by the resilience of the human spirit.
