Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II: The Green Legend is a 2016 martial arts film directed by Yuen Woo-ping and written by John Fusco. It is a sequel to the 2000 film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and is based on the fifth book in the Crane-Iron Pentalogy, titled Iron Knight, Silver Vase. The film stars Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh, Harry Shum Jr., and Natasha Liu Bordizzo in the lead roles.

The film is set in 18th century China and follows the story of Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh), who is tasked with protecting the Green Destiny sword after the death of her master Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-fat). However, she soon finds herself embroiled in a plot to steal the sword by Hades Dai (Jason Scott Lee), a warlord seeking to overthrow the emperor. Yu is aided in her mission by her old flame Silent Wolf (Donnie Yen) and a young girl named Snow Vase (Natasha Liu Bordizzo). Meanwhile, Hades Dai is backed by a powerful witch named Iron Crow (JuJu Chan), who has her own agenda for the sword.

The film starts off with a breathtaking action sequence that sets the tone for the rest of the movie. The fight choreography is brilliant and makes use of various martial arts styles that are both fluid and deadly. The film also showcases the beauty of China with its stunning landscapes and traditional architecture.

Michelle Yeoh's performance as Yu Shu Lien is excellent, and she brings a sense of elegance and grace to her character. Donnie Yen is equally impressive as Silent Wolf, and the chemistry between the two is palpable. Harry Shum Jr. plays Wei Fang, a former street thief who has his own reasons for being involved in the plot. Natasha Liu Bordizzo shines as Snow Vase, the young girl who is eager to prove herself to Yu Shu Lien.

The film's plot is relatively simple, with a focus on the action and the characters. However, it does touch upon themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and redemption. The final fight sequence is a sight to behold, with Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh going head to head in an epic battle that is sure to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

Overall, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II: The Green Legend is a worthy successor to the original film. It may not have the same impact as the first movie, but it is a well-made martial arts film that is sure to please fans of the genre. The performances are strong, the action is fantastic, and the visuals are stunning. If you're a fan of martial arts movies, you definitely won't be disappointed with this one.
