Copper Canyon is a 1950 western romance film directed by John Farrow and starring Ray Milland, Hedy Lamarr and Macdonald Carey. The movie revolves around a group of passengers travelling on a train through the Copper Canyon in 1898, during the time of political unrest and violence in the area. As they journey through the canyon, each one of them faces their own struggles and inner demons.

The storyline of the movie centers around Johnny Carter (Ray Milland), who is travelling on the train as he is on the run from the law. Johnny is a former Confederate cavalryman who is accused of stealing money from the Union. He finally meets up with his old friend and fellow soldier, Alan Kinsolving (Macdonald Carey), who is now working as a surveyor on the railroad.

The innocent Kinsolving, who is wrongly accused by the members of his survey team, is rescued by Johnny. They then continue together on the train, where Johnny is drawn to the beautiful and stubborn heiress, Lisa Roselle (Hedy Lamarr), who is also on board. Lisa is on a mission to find her father and regain control of her family's wealthy mine. She is determined to save the mine from the greedy and ruthless businessman, Bender (Harry Carey), who is determined to take it for himself.

As the train heads deeper into the Copper Canyon, they come across a group of Apache Indians who are planning to revolt against the American government. Amongst the passengers is Captain Porter (Frank Yaconelli), who the Apaches see as a traitor for serving in the Mexican army. The situation quickly worsens, and the passengers become trapped in the middle of the political unrest.

The plot thickens as Johnny tries to keep Lisa and the other passengers safe while trying to clear his name. Meanwhile, Kinsolving struggles with his conscience and feelings for Lisa, who is still haunted by her past.
