After growing up in the small town life of 1970's England, Ian Curtis has his own hopes and dreams of being a musician. After joining a band his music career begins to thrive, and he starts to be as successful as he always wanted to be. Marrying young and having a daughter, he is split between his love of family and his music and his fears and dreams begin to eat away at him. The strain starts to take a toll on his health, and he struggles to control himself and what he has always dreamed of having.
