“City of Women” is an Italian comedy-drama film that was released in 1980. The movie is directed by Federico Fellini and stars Marcello Mastroianni, Anna Prucnal, and Bernice Stegers. The plot of the film revolves around a middle-aged man named Snàporaz (played by Mastroianni) who falls asleep on a train and wakes up in a mysterious world ruled by women.

Snàporaz is a successful businessmen who is on his way to a conference when he boards the wrong train. After waking up, he finds himself in a strange city where women are in charge. He crosses paths with a variety of women during his journey, some of whom are mysterious and alluring, while others are overpowering and manipulative.

One of the first women Snàporaz meets is a hitchhiking feminist named Louise (played by Prucnal). Louise is on a mission to rid the world of men and persuades Snàporaz to join her cause. However, he soon becomes disillusioned with her violent and radical ideas and tries to escape.

Snàporaz then encounters a young girl named Elena (played by Ettore Manni) who seems to be lost. He tries to help her but is soon accused of being a pedophile. This leads him to flee from the city and into the countryside, where he finds a group of middle-aged women who live in a commune. They are led by an aging, but still seductive actress named La Voce (played by Stegers).

La Voce soon becomes enamored with Snàporaz and tries to seduce him. She also introduces him to a variety of women who are all looking for love and attention. However, he soon realizes that they are all using him for their own purposes and decides to leave.

As Snàporaz continues his journey, he experiences a number of surreal and dreamlike episodes. He is pursued by a group of women on motorcycles, has a vision of being on trial, and is confronted by a group of women wearing animal masks.

Throughout the film, Fellini explores themes of feminism, male dominance, and sexual desire. The movie features a complex and surreal narrative structure, with a number of different storylines unfolding simultaneously. The movie also features numerous references to Fellini's own life and career, including scenes set in Cinecittà, the famous Italian film studio.

Overall, “City of Women” is a unique and fascinating film that blends comedy, drama, and surrealism in equal measure. The movie is visually striking, with a number of impressive set pieces and dreamlike sequences. Marcello Mastroianni delivers a strong performance as Snàporaz, portraying a man who is both bewildered and seduced by this strange world of women. Anna Prucnal, Bernice Stegers, and the rest of the supporting cast also deliver strong performances, helping to bring Fellini's vision to life.
