Watch China Town

In this early example of epic Bollywood storytelling, a Darjeeling man is forced into working with local police in Calcutta as an undercover operative, after his attempts to court a young woman he loves end in his arrest on stalking charges. Since the man, a singer by trade, is a dead ringer for a member of the local China Town mob, police enlist his help to take over the jailed boss's everyday life. When the powerful gangster is released, though, he will be hot on the trail of the young lovestruck man who was working with police to earn his conviction.
